Overview

Overview

Since 2010, O’Hagan Meyer’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office has served as a cornerstone of the firm’s East Coast presence, with a deep bench of attorneys handling complex litigation across multiple practice areas. This office is home to experienced partners, counsel, and associates who represent employers, businesses, insurers, and professionals in high-stakes matters throughout Pennsylvania and beyond. Philadelphia attorneys regularly appear in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts, U.S. District Courts across the region, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and many bring extensive first-chair trial experience in jury and bench trials.

The Philadelphia office maintains a broad and integrated litigation practice, with particular strength in labor and employment law, professional liability, insurance coverage, commercial and business disputes, and complex tort litigation. Attorneys defend employers in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants, whistleblower allegations, and class and collective actions, while also advising clients on compliance, investigations, and risk management. The team also represents licensed professionals and institutions, including healthcare providers, skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, architects, engineers, insurance agents and brokers, and other professionals in professional liability and regulatory matters. Many attorneys in the office also litigate complex premises liability, products liability, construction, directors and officers, and catastrophic injury cases, reflecting the office’s longstanding trial-oriented practice.

The Philadelphia office is also distinguished by its significant appellate experience and engagement in thought leadership within the legal and business communities. Attorneys regularly brief and argue appeals in state and federal appellate courts, publish articles and treatises, and speak at CLE programs and industry conferences on employment law, insurance coverage, corporate governance, and litigation strategy. From its Philadelphia location, the office supports clients across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond, with attorneys licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia, and collaborates closely with colleagues in neighboring offices on multijurisdictional matters.
