O'Hagan Meyer Opens Detroit Office with National Trial Lawyer, Evan Burkholder

O’Hagan Meyer is pleased to announce the addition of Evan A. Burkholder and the opening of its new office in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Burkholder brings to the firm over 30 years of trial experience in business and employment litigation, catastrophic injury cases and product liability matters.

“We are looking forward to expanding O’Hagan Meyer’s diverse practice into Michigan”, said Kevin O’Hagan, the firm’s founding partner. “Having worked with Evan in Chicago and Richmond for several years, I know Evan to be a phenomenal trial lawyer and counselor for his clients. With a Detroit office, our firm will be able to add to its growing labor and employment practice and its work on complex business litigation.”

Mr. Burkholder’s experience includes the representation of corporate CEO’s in hostile workplace litigation; he has defended non-profits against multi-plaintiff civil rights act and whistleblower protection act claims.

His business and commercial litigation experience includes unfair competition, defamation and trade secret misappropriation disputes. He represents insurers on a variety of coverage matters, including copyright infringement, trademark infringement, false advertising and trade secret misappropriation.

In addition to direct trial representation, Mr. Burkholder has coordinated the defense of multi-state product liability actions, supervising local counsel, coordinating discovery and managing the operations of large document depositories.

Mr. Burkholder is an active member of the state bars in Michigan and Illinois.
