Overview
Established in 2024, O’Hagan Meyer’s Fresno, California office expands the firm’s presence in the Central Valley with a focused team dedicated primarily to labor and employment litigation and counseling. The office is anchored by experienced partners and supported by attorneys who regularly defend employers in wage and hour class actions, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims, single-plaintiff employment disputes, and related administrative proceedings. Fresno attorneys also handle employment-adjacent matters including general liability, premises liability, transportation-related claims, and select commercial disputes, and routinely represent clients in California state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Central, and Northern Districts of California, and before state and federal employment agencies.
The Fresno office’s practice is shaped by the often complex employment considerations facing businesses throughout California. Attorneys advise and defend employers across a wide range of industries, including agriculture, construction, transportation, professional services, and businesses with dispersed or high-headcount workforces. In addition to litigation, the team provides day-to-day counseling on compliance with California and federal employment laws, including employee classification, wage and hour practices, leave and accommodation issues, workplace investigations, and the drafting and implementation of employment policies and handbooks. Several attorneys bring prior experience on both the defense and plaintiff sides of employment litigation, as well as hands-on human resources and business operations backgrounds, which informs a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
From its Fresno base, the office serves employers throughout California. The attorneys regularly practice before California courts and agencies, allowing the team to offer advice and defense strategies grounded in state-specific law and procedural requirements. The Fresno team works closely with colleagues across the firm to support matters that require additional resources or multi-office coordination, while maintaining a strong local understanding of the Central Valley business community.
