Overview

Overview

Established in 2019, O’Hagan Meyer’s Charlotte, North Carolina office has grown into a strong regional platform anchored by experienced labor and employment litigators and counselors. The office is led by seasoned partners and supported by attorneys with substantial backgrounds in employment litigation and compliance, ERISA and employee benefits, data breach and cybersecurity matters, commercial and business litigation, and professional liability. Charlotte attorneys regularly represent employers and professionals in North Carolina state courts, federal courts throughout the Carolinas, and before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and the North Carolina Division of Employment Security. They handle matters across the full lifecycle of employment and business disputes, from investigations and counseling through trial and appeal.

The Charlotte office’s practice reflects the region’s concentration of growing employers, financial services institutions, staffing and alternative workforce organizations, licensed professionals, and regulated businesses. The team advises and defends clients on issues involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, leave and accommodation obligations, workforce reductions, whistleblower claims, ERISA benefit disputes, and employment agreements, as well as data privacy incidents, general business litigation matters, and professional negligence matters. In addition to their litigation work, Charlotte attorneys are actively engaged in the legal community, holding leadership roles in bar associations and professional organizations and contributing to continuing legal education and community-focused programming throughout the greater Charlotte area.

From its Charlotte base, the office supports clients with operations throughout the Carolinas and the broader Southeast. Our Charlotte attorneys are licensed in multiple jurisdictions, allowing the team to manage multistate employment, ERISA, and commercial matters with efficiency and consistency. The Charlotte office delivers practical, coordinated, and effective defense representation for employers and businesses facing complex and high-exposure disputes.
