Overview

Overview

Founded in 2016, O’Hagan Meyer’s Alexandria, Virginia office anchors the firm’s work in Northern Virginia and the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The office is home to attorneys with significant experience representing employers and organizations in labor and employment matters, commercial and business litigation, data breach and cyber liability, class and collective actions, professional liability, homeowners and condominium association disputes, medical malpractice and healthcare defense, government investigations, False Claims Act litigation, whistleblower allegations, the defense of government contract claims under the Services Contract Act (SCA), and appellate matters. Alexandria attorneys regularly litigate in Virginia circuit and federal courts throughout the region, including the U.S. District Courts for Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the D.C. Circuit. The team also has extensive experience representing clients in agency proceedings before bodies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Alexandria office’s practice reflects the concentration of regulated employers and institutions operating in and around the nation’s capital. Attorneys routinely advise and defend clients in sectors including government contracting and public-sector adjacent industries, healthcare, financial services, technology and data-driven businesses, construction and design, real estate and community associations, and nonprofit organizations. In parallel with their litigation practices, Alexandria attorneys are actively engaged in the professional and academic community. They participate in nonprofit boards and contribute through teaching, speaking, and writing on topics such as employment compliance. This engagement reinforces the office’s reputation as both a litigation resource and a thought leader within the local legal market.

Serving clients with regional, national, and multistate operations, the Alexandria office draws on a team licensed across many jurisdictions along the East Coast. Their geographic breadth allows the office to manage complex litigation and regulatory matters that extend beyond Virginia, while remaining grounded in local practice.
