Overview

Established in 2018, O’Hagan Meyer’s Boston, Massachusetts office plays a central role in supporting the firm’s litigation and counseling work across New England. The office includes a seasoned team of partners, senior counsel, and associates with experience across labor and employment defense, traditional labor, franchise litigation and counseling, class and collective actions, commercial and business disputes, appellate advocacy, insurance coverage, transportation and catastrophic injury defense, consumer financial services litigation, professional liability, and real estate disputes. Boston attorneys regularly appear in Massachusetts state courts and federal courts throughout the region, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and Appeals Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, as well as before administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals.

The Boston office’s practice is closely aligned with the industries that define the New England economy and regulatory landscape. The team represents employers, franchisors and franchisees, transportation and logistics companies, financial institutions, healthcare systems, retailers, insurers, real estate developers, educational institutions, and professional service businesses. Attorneys in the office are also embedded in the legal and civic fabric of the region, holding leadership roles in bar associations and professional organizations, participating in nonprofit boards, and contributing regularly through teaching, speaking, and publishing on issues spanning employment law, franchising, labor relations, appellate practice, and complex litigation. This combination of courtroom strength and professional engagement reinforces the office’s reputation as a trusted resource for sophisticated employers and businesses.

From Boston, the office supports clients operating locally, regionally, and nationwide. Attorneys are licensed in multiple jurisdictions beyond Massachusetts, including New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, California, and Washington, D.C., enabling the team to manage multistate litigation and coordinated defense strategies efficiently. The Boston team works alongside colleagues across the firm to address matters that cross jurisdictional and industry lines, while maintaining a strong command of Massachusetts-specific law and practice.
