Overview

Evan Coleman is Senior Counsel in the Boston office of O’Hagan Meyer, where he focuses his practice on civil litigation, labor and employment law, and franchise law. He represents businesses in a broad spectrum of commercial and employment disputes, including wage-and-hour claims, misclassification and discrimination lawsuits in federal and state courts, and before administrative agencies. In addition to litigation, Evan provides day-to-day counsel to employers on workforce management, employment law compliance, government audits related to wage-and-hour issues, and strategies for litigation avoidance. He is experienced in all phases of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, trials, and mediation.

Prior to joining O’Hagan Meyer, Evan served as an attorney for the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he represented the agency in employment litigation before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). His work centered on cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and due process violations. He also previously worked at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), conducting preliminary hearings on appeals from Lack of Probable Cause determinations and advising investigators on legal issues in employment, housing, and public accommodation matters.
