Overview
Brad Krupicka brings a prosecutorial edge to employment defense work, having collaborated directly with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office on a complex employee theft investigation—including securing restitution exceeding $150,000 in a high-stakes embezzlement matter. His litigation background spans discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, and workplace investigations, with a particular strength in cases requiring forensic analysis of employee misconduct. Portland businesses turn to Brad when internal problems escalate beyond human resources protocols and demand someone who understands both the courtroom and the conference room.
Brad's clerkship under Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Henry Kantor provided exposure to more than 85 trials—a foundation that informs his approach to case evaluation and settlement strategy. He recognizes which disputes will settle and which require aggressive preparation for trial. During his tenure with the Multnomah County Attorney's office while attending law school added another dimension: defending governmental entities against employment claims while advising on constitutional limitations that private employers don't face. Brad also defends complex D&O, commercial litigation and maritime matters for his clients.
Beyond trial work, Brad has contributed to appellate advocacy, including briefing that resulted in a favorable Ninth Circuit ruling on front pay awards under the Oregon Family Leave Act and Family and Medical Leave Act. He utilizes alternative dispute resolution tactics when litigation isn't the answer, and counsels employers through the hiring process—where many employment problems originate. His practice reflects more than a decade of focused work in Portland's employment law landscape, representing employers who need practical guidance alongside strong advocacy.
