Overview

Overview

Tom Grant has focused on complex commercial and business litigation for nearly 30 years. During that time, he has represented and advised clients in Georgia and throughout the country. His practice includes state and federal litigation, arbitration, and appellate practice. Tom handles matters including “business divorces,” corporate and fiduciary litigation, restrictive covenants, real estate litigation, fraud, and contract disputes. Tom also has experience defending medical practices and handles business issues related to high-dollar divorces. Based on his broad experience, Tom is often able to resolve complex cases that have languished for years while handled by other lawyers who lacked the strategic approach required to conclude them.

Tom approaches controversies in a strategic, creative, and sensible way that best serves his clients’ long and short-term interests. Although he is often in court, he strives to understand his clients’ business needs, and to resolve controversies as efficiently as possible. Tom focuses on solutions and not just litigation. Tom partners with his clients and feels strongly that they should understand and participate in the plan to resolve their matters and should be aware of the current status of the matter and the likely work and costs that lie ahead. He believes that the value of a litigator can only be appreciated months after the conclusion of a matter, when a client can look back and assess the strategy and the expense of a representation, as well as the result.

Tom is recognized as a top attorney in his field and has been included in “The Best Lawyers in America,” as a “Super Lawyer” by Georgia Super Lawyers magazine, and by Atlanta Magazine for his work.
