Proven litigator, strategic advocate, and trusted advisor Stephen Berrios brings more than fifteen years of dispute resolution, litigation, and trial experience to both the civil and criminal arenas. With the goal of always seeking the best possible result for each client he serves, Stephen delivers legal defenses across a wide range of disputes.

Stephen’s adversarial experience is extensive and includes the resolution of state and federal court claims and risk mitigation solutions for employment and labor cases, wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims for Spanish speaking clients, and premises liability lawsuits. He also guides clients through a multitude of government-related issues, including municipal litigation, civil rights controversy, and Section 1983 challenges.

  • Successfully secured summary judgment for a Spanish-speaking client in a wrongful death action arising from a residential fire involving five fatalities
  • Obtained summary judgment for a national medical licensing examination board in litigation involving claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Obtained a defense verdict at trial for a high-end Mexican restaurant franchisee in a loss of business income claim
  • Secured summary judgment for an international lifestyle hotel in a contentious employment matter involving a claim of reverse discrimination
  • Represents employers in NLRB proceedings and union election campaigns, including successful outcomes in board-supervised election
