Overview

Russell Kalvelage is a formidable advocate and trusted advisor. He focuses his practice on management-side employment law, representing employers in litigation and providing practical regulatory guidance and day-to-day workplace counsel. He advises clients on compliance, risk management, and employment strategy across a range of industries.

Russell litigates employment-related claims in state and federal court, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, breach of contract, and trade secret matters. He manages agency charges before the EEOC and state fair employment practices agencies and guides clients through mediation and settlement negotiations. His practice also includes drafting employment agreements, restrictive covenants, handbooks, and workplace policies, as well as advising on internal investigations, employee leave, discipline, and reductions in force.

Before joining O’Hagan Meyer, Russell represented employers in executive- and management-side litigation and insurance-backed employment matters. He closely tracks developments in employment law and counsels clients on regulatory changes affecting workplace policies and operations.
