Overview

Jamey Davidson is a Partner in the Chicago office of O’Hagan Meyer and a Chair of the Firm’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. He advises companies of all sizes on preventing and responding to data security incidents, including network intrusions, data theft, ransomware attacks, fraudulent funds transfers, and inadvertent disclosures. Jamey also represents clients in class action litigation at both the state and federal levels nationwide, involving data breaches, privacy violations, and data tracking claims.

In addition, Jamey serves as Incident Response Coordination and Monitoring Counsel for domestic and London-based Cyber Risk and Liability Insurers. He and his team lead incident response efforts, operating a 24/7 hotline and assembling breach response teams that include breach counsel, forensic IT specialists, public relations firms, and notification and credit monitoring services. He also acts as national oversight counsel for cybersecurity trends and emerging legal issues, negotiates ransom and extortion payments when necessary, and works to recover stolen funds on behalf of insurers and their insureds.

Jamey’s practice also includes representing entities in Health Care Payer Dispute Claims and Managed Care Litigation. He advises management companies for long-term care providers in “profits over people” litigation, as well as providers in medical billing and auditing matters. He also represents providers, insurers, and third-party administrators in disputes involving reimbursement rates, underpayment and denial of claims, and alleged problematic contractual arrangements and payment guidelines.

Finally, Jamey has extensive experience representing lawyers, health care providers, and other professionals in professional negligence litigation, as well as Directors & Officers in fiduciary breach and corporate governance matters.
