O’Hagan Meyer is elated to announce the addition of veteran team David Baugh and John Dalton to the Chicago office. Baugh and Dalton join the firm with a combined 40+ years of legal experience, focusing mainly in the Errors & Omissions, Financial Services and Coverage practice areas. As licensed CPAs, Baugh and Dalton bring a wealth of knowledge and fresh perspectives to claims related to FINRA and the wider financial services industry, including broker/dealers and their registered representatives. In addition, they also regularly defend registered investment advisors as well as represent the financial services professionals in regulatory matters pending before the SEC, FINRA and state securities commissions.

Joining Baugh and Dalton are Partners Nancy Hendrickson, Daniel (Dan) Hetzel, Mary Kay Morrissey, and James (Jim) Yong, Of Counsel attorneys Steven (Steve) Apel and John Purdy and Associates Monica Banasiuk, Molly Blaase, Morgan Johnson and Christopher (Chris) Mackey.

David Baugh concentrates his practice in corporate, commercial and securities litigation, professional malpractice defense, and directors’ and officers’ liability claims. Prior to his years defending securities broker/dealers, accountants, attorneys, and more, in both federal and state court, Baugh worked as a staff attorney in the Division of Corporation Finance with the Securities Exchange Commission. He is also a CPA.

John Dalton concentrates his practice in professional liability, insurance coverage and general liability/commercial litigation. Dalton has an extensive background, ranging from defending insurance agents, condominium associations and design professionals to companies and board members in numerous commercial disputes, including claims under the TCPA, FDCPA, ERISA and other related state statutes. He is also a CPA.
