Overview
Yucy Jia is an associate in the San Francisco office of O’Hagan Meyer and is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation practice groups. She represents clients in a variety of litigation matters and draws on experience handling disputes across multiple industries and sectors.
Prior to joining O’Hagan Meyer, Yucy practiced civil litigation, where she handled matters involving personal injury, premises liability, insurance disputes, public entity defense, and business-related claims. She also worked at a firm representing public school districts and government agencies, giving her experience navigating the legal and operational challenges facing public-sector organizations.
Before law school, Yucy worked for the Government of Canada, including positions with Global Affairs Canada and the Privy Council Office, the department that supports Canada’s Prime Minister and Cabinet. Her work included supporting cultural diplomacy initiatives and assisting with access to information and privacy matters, providing her with experience navigating complex governmental and organizational processes.
Yucy earned her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she served as a Research Fellow for Professor Beatrice Tice and participated in the Intellectual Property Arts and Technology and Workers’ Rights and Organizing Clinics. She received her Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science from the University of Ottawa.
