Overview

Overview

Vanessa Cornejo is an associate attorney in the Labor and Employment Litigation Group at O’Hagan Meyer in Sacramento, California. Vanessa represents clients in a variety of employment matters including wage and hour class actions, PAGA actions, discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation claims.

Growing up, Vanessa spent countless hours working at her family’s small business. Seeing firsthand the dedication, sacrifice, and late nights required to run a business—and watching other family members and close family friends navigate the same path—has shaped her perspective on the law.

Prior to joining O’Hagan Meyer, Vanessa served as a Deputy District Attorney for Placer County, California, where she prosecuted criminal matters and regularly appeared in court. She also worked as an associate attorney for one of the largest medical malpractice defense firms in California defending hospitals and health care providers in high-stakes medical malpractice lawsuits.

Vanessa has participated in multiple jury trials and has extensive experience in all phases of litigation.
