A photo of attorney, Thomas Eastmond, against a softly blurred office background

Overview

Overview

Thomas Eastmond defends employers ranging from emerging startups to established corporations faced with employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. His background as former general counsel to a transportation and manufacturing company gives him an operational perspective that translates complex legal strategy into business-focused solutions. Thomas understands that employment disputes require more than legal acumen; they demand an attorney who grasps the commercial realities driving each decision.

Before joining O’Hagan Meyer, Thomas practiced with an international law firm and served in-house, where he managed legal risk across multiple disciplines including commercial litigation, corporate matters, real estate disputes, public contracting, bankruptcy, and construction law. This breadth of experience allows him to identify exposure points other employment attorneys might overlook and to craft defenses that account for broader business implications beyond the immediate claim.

Admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Thomas has litigated cases through every level of the judicial system, resulting in multiple published opinions. His broad skill sharpens his litigation work—he builds records with an eye toward sustainability on appeal, anticipating challenges before they materialize and positioning clients for favorable outcomes at each procedural stage.
