Overview
Talha Muhammad has experience drafting pleadings, written discovery, discovery responses, law-and-motion filings, deposition outlines, mediation materials, and litigation strategy analyses. He works with clients to assess claims, evaluate liability and damages, and develop practical defense strategies throughout the life of a case.
Before joining O’Hagan Meyer, Talha practiced civil defense litigation, where he handled matters involving premises liability, habitability disputes, professional negligence, catastrophic injury allegations, indemnity issues, and multi-party claims. His work included analyzing pleadings, contracts, cross-claims, defense obligations, discovery issues, and settlement exposure for clients, insurers, property owners, businesses, and related entities.
He also worked on insurance defense, coverage, and employment-related matters, including opinion letters, settlement and mediation preparation, demurrers, motions to strike, demand letters, and legal research. Talha previously served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Thomas A. Delaney of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Three, where he researched civil and criminal matters, drafted bench memoranda, reviewed pleadings and petitions, and participated in case discussions before and after oral argument.
Talha is pursuing an LL.M. in Alternative Dispute Resolution through Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. His academic and professional interests include litigation strategy, alternative dispute resolution, religious arbitration, and institutional approaches to dispute resolution.

Talha serves as Secretary of the Muslim Bar Association of Southern California, where he assists with nonprofit governance, compliance, bylaws, tax-related documentation, and organizational operations. He is involved in efforts to strengthen professional programming, community engagement, and institutional development for Muslim attorneys and law students in Southern California.
