Overview

Adam Spiewak is Of Counsel in the Orange County office of O’Hagan Meyer. He represents clients in a variety of employment matters, including compliance with California’s Labor Code and Fair Employment and Housing Act, as well as trade secret and unfair business practice claims. Adam has defended employers in wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions. He also provides guidance and defends employers against claims involving alleged discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment and ADA violations.

In addition to his litigation practice, Adam offers advice and counseling services to employer clients to review and update their employment policies, practices, employee handbooks and arbitration agreements. He guides employers through managing their processes for hiring and firing, workplace investigations, human resources management and compliance with wage and hour requirements to minimize their future risks of liability.

Adam conducts workplace investigations and oversees audits regarding best practices and compliance with classification and pay requirements under California and Federal law. He has also given presentations on employment issues, including Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Training and compliance with leave, accommodation and interactive process requirements.

Adam is committed to securing optimal results for firm clients through assertive, measured, tactical advocacy. He has obtained favorable outcomes at trial, as well as through mediation; confidential, directly negotiated settlements and routine motion practice.
