Overview

Luke is a Partner in O’Hagan Meyer’s Chicago office where his practice is focused on professional liability defense and general business litigation and disputes. Luke handles the defense of employers regarding employment discrimination complaints and security brokers in professional negligence litigation. He also devotes part of his practice to first and third-party insurance coverage, specifically arson, fraud and collusion. Additionally, Mr. Sheridan regularly consults and represents appraisers, real estate brokers and insurance producers in professional negligence litigation.

Luke gained extensive trial experience as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Felony Trial Division, Luke prosecuted hundreds of bench trials and over 30 jury trials to verdict. Mr. Sheridan worked side by side with the Chicago Police Department in investigating criminal offenses and was responsible for determining whether to file felony criminal charges based upon those investigations.

Luke is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois and the Central District of Illinois, as well as the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
