Overview
Alden Butier is an associate in the San Francisco office of O’Hagan Meyer and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Commercial & Business Litigation practice groups. He represents clients in a variety of employment and business disputes and draws on prior experience handling litigation matters across multiple industries.
Before joining O’Hagan Meyer, Alden practiced civil litigation, defending general liability and construction defect claims. His experience includes managing matters through various stages of litigation and working closely with clients to address risk and resolve disputes efficiently.
Prior to law school, Alden negotiated commercial agreements and managed client relationships for a global software company. This experience provided him with a practical understanding of the operational challenges businesses face and the areas where contractual risk commonly arises.
Alden earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he advised early-stage companies through the Entrepreneurs’ Law Clinic, supported prosecutors at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, and assisted corporate legal teams with contract drafting, risk analysis, and legal research. He received dual B.A. degrees in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Southern California.
