With the addition of three accomplished litigation, labor, and employment attorneys, we are pleased to announce the opening of O’Hagan Meyer’s new office in Sacramento, California. Derek Sachs will lead the team as the Managing Partner of Sacramento, and is joined by Partner Anthony Oceguera, and Associate Elaine McCormick.

Derek Sachs, Managing Partner of Sacramento
Derek Sachs is the Managing Partner of O’Hagan Meyer’s Sacramento Office and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. Mr. Sachs exclusively represents both public and private employers across numerous industries in all aspects of employment litigation, including cases in State and Federal court, along with claims before the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Department of Industrial Relations, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He has a particular focus on wage and hour class actions, with abundant experience in how to statistically analyze liability and damages in these complex matters. Learn more about Derek.

Anthony Oceguera, Partner
Anthony Oceguera represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment. His primary focus is employment litigation, defending employers in single plaintiff cases, as well as class actions, collective actions and representative actions, in both Federal and California Court. Mr. Oceguera has secured favorable outcomes for his clients, including early dismissals, judgments and confidential settlements, and provides valuable counseling in best employment practices. Mr. Oceguera recognizes that not every client or case is the same, and spends significant time with clients deciding on the proper strategy for achieving the best possible result based on the facts and evidence, and the client’s specific objectives. Elaine McCormick, Associate
Elaine McCormick represents clients in a variety of employment matters including wage and hour class actions, PAGA actions, discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation claims. She graduated from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, where she obtained a concentration in Capital Lawyering and interned at the Public Defender. She won several awards in law school, including the Stauffer Charitable Trust Writing Competition and the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence; and she had the honor of studying under former Associate Justice Anthony M.
