Associate Attorney - Labor & Employment

Salary Range: $145,000 to $200,000

Our Fresno, CA office has an opportunity for an experienced Employment Advice and Counseling Attorney to join the firm’s dynamic and sophisticated practice representing premier local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle a wide-range of labor & employment matters involving cutting-edge topics and premier, interesting clients. This associate will join a diverse practice group that handles litigation ranging from single plaintiff employment litigation to PAGA claims and wage & hour class actions while also advising an ever growing list of clients on all matters of labor and employment matters.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in civil litigation and at least 3+ years of significant advice and counseling work in labor and employment law
  • Experience with handling of employee leaves, drafting handbooks, providing managerial trainings, meeting with clients, familiarity with Cal/OSHA regulations and requirements, drafting safety programs for employers, assessing company HR policies and procedures to determine legal compliance, working with clients to reduce risk associated with employee terminations and restructuring, and other similar advice and counseling tasks
  • Able to assist with discovery, motions, and other litigation work on an as needed basis and handle multiple pre-litigation matters as needed
  • Willingness to engage in marketing efforts to help create and grow a book of business
  • Juris doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Must be license to practice in CA
