Overview

Sam is the Managing Partner of O’Hagan Meyer in the Hermosa Beach office. He is also the Co-Chair of the firm’s Financial Services and Securities Group. As a trial attorney and former prosecutor with extensive litigation experience in federal and state courts, as well as FINRA arbitration matters, he defends white collar cases both civil and criminal. He represents officers and directors of public and private companies, as well as a myriad of licensed professionals such as attorneys, financial advisers, insurance agents, and accounting professionals.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a federal prosecutor with the Office of Enforcement of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (Criminal Division) – both in Los Angeles.

Outside of his law practice, he previously served as Mayor and Councilman of Hermosa Beach, having been elected by popular vote in 1991, 1995, 1999 and 2003.
